Paradise Valley, AZ
Modern Valley Oasis
The original landscape did little to celebrate the breathtaking views, so the mission was clear: create a space that reflects the homeowners’ modern lifestyle while honoring the beauty of the Sonoran Desert.
The updated design replaced a water-intensive layout with a sustainable, low-water-use landscape. Sculptural cacti, vibrant desert blooms, and a curated mix of Mexican saguaros, Arizona organ pipes, agaves, and barrel cacti form the heart of a plant palette that’s both efficient and expressive. A key part of landscape maintenance, especially in the desert, is water management and creating sustainable, efficient landscapes.
Travertine patios and crisp stepping-stone paths now flow seamlessly across the property, linking previously disconnected areas and encouraging exploration. Strategic plantings and sightline management opened up framed views of the mountain backdrop, allowing each outdoor moment to feel intentional and connected.
