We updated the home courtyard space to focus on drought tolerant desert plantings. These types of desert specimen plantings provide a serene vista, while remaining effortlessly low maintenance.

The hardscape and custom built in BBQ features provide a pueblo soft contemporary feel. Mature plantings were important in achieving a highly exclusive, mature desert oasis type of landscape.

Cacti, agave and native Sonoran accent plants unify the streetscape. Dynamic accents also include pots and pots on pedestals to embrace the idea of a lush furnished outdoor room.

Beyond aesthetics, this home embodies a sustainable and enduring design that feels mature and intimate. The irrigation and plantings are fully automated on completely separated zones for sustainability. All lighting is LED and compliant with Dark Sky requirements. The residence is located near a vibrant urban area where walkability is a factor. The community has a strong sense of place, community, walkability and design integrity.
